I took the original frame (Giordano Rapido 100 full aluminum) and stripped the paint chemically/mechanically. The frame itself was really cheap, however it is of an astionishing quality for the price. The aluminium held up very well over the past winter out in the open, with riding it every day in the wet and dry. However, the forks collected a lot of rust spots, possibly through contact with salt and other stuff from the streets.
This is currently my winter setup: risers, wider tires, fenders, smaller cog, brake in the front.
I have spent countless hours on customizing this bike to the fullest I can, still I learned and have to lear a lot about bicycle building/maintenance...
I plan on polishin and maybe also repainting the bike in the summer, seeing on how fast paintshops where I live are able to deliver.
