Each year, 120 intrepid souls gather in Grinnell Iowa to embark on a 340ish mile journey through day and night. After 13 years, Trans Iowa has become a legendary event in the ultra-cycling adventure world. A kooky registration process, rigid rules and an enthusiastic promoter, combined with rugged terrain and unpredictable weather conditions make the event a must-attempt. Historically low finish rates are just a tease to entice more cyclists to register each year. This year we have 4 of our crew heading up to Grinnell to give T.I. a shot. Two men and two women, singlespeed riders all. We shot a few photos of their race-ready rigs to share, feel free to ask them any questions about their setups down in the comments. Best of luck to Bailey Newbrey, Crystal Wintle, Allison Zmuda and Ryan Simon!
